Oil to Gas Conversion Melrose

Heating System Rebates, Incentives

The video below is about an oil to gas conversion in Melrose. Everything went right for the homeowner as he had done his homework and as a result received significant savings in the form of rebates, incentives, 0% financing, and lower energy costs forever. Watch the video and we’ll talk about why this project was a win-win below.

Well Planned and Executed Heating System Replacement

This Melrose homeowner contacted Absolute Precision about replacing his old inefficient oil fired boiler in June. So it wasn’t an emergency situation during the heating season. However, the boiler was responsible for making hot water and needed to remain operational after the oil tank was removed so Absolute Precision rigged up a temporary oil supply.

The project was smooth sailing as National Grid ran the gas service to the house, the proper inspections were done, and the Absolute Precision team installed the new heating equipment. The new gas boiler is a Burnham Alpine at 95% efficiency. The boiler it replaced was about 70% efficient so the homeowner will see big savings on their heating bills.

Absolute Precision also replaced the existing water heater with an indirect fired 65 gallon Superstor which has a stainless steel tank and a lifetime warranty. The Burnham Alpine has a 10 year warranty. The entire system has four zones for heat plus one for hot water.

The homeowner is extremely pleased with his new heating system. He’s also thrilled that through the Mass Save program he received thousands of dollars in rebates and incentives.
