Was not real pleased to wake up the other morning, step into the shower and realize I had no hot water. I called Ken very early in the am and left a message. Within 45 seconds I was speaking with Ken. Within 24 hours I had hot water again. The technician was right on time, did the work in precisely the amount of time I was told it would take, and also walked me through everything he had done and was extremely articulate ( I am terrible at any tech stuff) with the future maintenance, etc. Service, at least to me, was something out of the 20th Century when you got a human being on the phone and not 4-5 minutes of options to find out who to speak with. I moved to Absolute Precision last year after I got tired waiting for quotes to replace our old boiler from my prior plumbing company in Wakefield.
I wish I had made the change to Absolute Precision sooner. Ken and his team did an excellent job – everything was installed as expected and has worked flawlessly ever since. Not only that, they came by in the early winter to check on the system and flush it at no cost.
This week I needed some separate work done on a gas line in the basement and they responded immediately and did an excellent job cleaning up (someone else’s) mess.

Short review – Ken and Absolute Precision did an outstanding job switching us over from oil to natural gas, and I’d highly recommend them to anyone considering having this done. He worked with us the whole way through dealing with National Grid, Mass Save for the HEAT loan, and installing the right equipment. As you can see from all his 5-star reviews, Ken and Absolute Precision are the best in the business.
Longish review – When my wife and I decided to buy our house in Woburn, we had no idea the difficulty that we would face in having the oil-to-gas conversion done (dealing with National Grid and the City of Woburn itself). First, we needed to have a plumber come to our home and provide an estimate that would then be submitted to National Grid (to have them install the gas line), but with a deadline of only a few days. Among the estimates that we received, Absolute Precision wasn’t the best or worst price, but I chose them to do the work because I could tell right away that Ken was a friendly and honest person. He worked with us the whole way as we waited for National Grid to install the gas line (a multi-month long headache fit for a different discussion than this review) and helped us to secure the HEAT loan from Mass Save. Once the gas line was installed, it took Ken about 2 weeks to have all the gas equipment installed, inspected, and switched on. When he was done, the only sign that he had been there was the installation of the beautiful new gas equipment and removal of the ancient oil equipment (no garbage or dirt of any kind left behind). Ken also recommended a chimney sweep that was able to come to my home within two days of me calling him and did a great job at a great price (unlike other chimney sweeps who were more expensive and had weeks-long waiting lists). I’m sure that if/when I need other plumbing work done, I will call Ken and Absolute Precision first.

Ken was recommended to me by another tradesman as the best plumber he ever worked with. That sounded like the right guy to call for some work on our new home. Ken and his team definitely didn’t disappoint. First of all, Ken showed up every time when he said he would. He spent a couple hours going over the work we were considering, making recommendations, and giving some pro tips along the way. He worked with us to stay pretty close to our budget for all we needed to get done: installation of a kitchen sink, faucet, disposal, dishwasher, shower valve, main shutoff, laundry sink, washing machine drain, and gas dryer. As he and his team got started, I was a little concerned when our old countertop got cracked when we pulled the kitchen sink out after a test fit. But after that minor issue, everything went great. Ken clearly takes pride in his work, even to the point of squaring up the gas lines that very few people will every see. I was impressed that with all the putty, PVC cement, cutting oil, pipe dope, etc. the only the sign that someone had been working was a little oil on the window shade above the dryer. And to top it all off, Ken event lent me his tile cutter so that I could re-tile our shower. I have been using Absolute Precision for various plumbing needs for over 10 years now — and recently went through a period where I had a lot of needs! It started as what was supposed to be a simple installation of a new range and dishwasher.
After the range was installed, I kept smelling gas. The Absolute Precision team came back to my house multiple times to check their work, and after ruling out all the different possibilities they determined that it was the (brand new and pricey) range itself. Knowing that I had everything so thoroughly checked out by real professionals gave me the ability to go back to the appliance company and demand a replacement range.
While that was all going on, I then had a problem with my furnace. Once again, Absolute Precision came to the rescue and figured out that the part I needed was still covered by the original warranty — and would also save me from having to get a whole new furnace. Our air conditioning system recently stopped working during the hottest stretch of the summer and we immediately contacted Absolute Precision Plumbing Heating & Cooling. The folks from Absolute Precision Plumbing Heating & Cooling have been nothing short of AMAZING! This was our first experience with Absolute Precision Plumbing Heating & Cooling and we couldn’t be happier. Ken quickly scheduled us a service appointment and then took the time to email me the day before the appointment to confirm a service technician was scheduled to be dispatched the following morning. The next day, Fabio called 30 mins before the appointment time just to confirm he was on the way. Fabio showed up on time, introduced himself, and went straight to work troubleshooting the AC issue. Bryan came out today to fix a leaking pipe in our kitchen that was only accessible through a tiny 9 inch wide corner cabinet. We were prepared for him to remove appliances, cut through walls, but he was somehow able to squeeze into the tiny space and fix it!
