Ductless Technology for Northern Climates

Almost all homes and buildings in Massachusetts and the Northern U.S. have relied on either a furnace or boiler, usually powered by gas or oil, as their main heating source. While a well maintained system of this type is adequate even on cold days these central heating systems have flaws. Besides the issue of fossil fuels they are expensive to operate and do not provide the same level of comfort in every room or to each household member.

Mitsubishi Leads HVAC Innovation

Mitsubishi Electric, a worldwide leader in heating and cooling systems for over 30 years, is an innovator striving to build systems that provide personalized comfort while conserving energy and promoting environmental sustainability.

The Mitsubishi H2i Hyper-Heating INVERTER™ heat pump is a ductless heating and cooling system which allows you to reduce or eliminate fossil fuel dependence in your Massachusetts home. It’s energy efficient with features designed to increase the comfort level of each individual family member while also saving on energy bills.

How Heat Pumps Work

Heat pumps work by extracting heat from outside air and transforming it into warm indoor air via a refrigerant fluid. Most conventional heat pumps operate at 100% capacity down to 47° quickly losing capacity below that temperature. The Mitsubishi H2i maintains 100% capacity down to 23° and the point at which other conventional heat pumps are at 0% capacity, -13°, the H2i is still at 76%.

Features and benefits of Mitsubishi ductless heating and cooling systems include:

Air Quality

Advanced multi-stage filtration removes toxins that can cause allergy and asthma symptoms. A platinum deodorizing filter uses nanotechnology to neutralize odors. The filters are washable, last up to 10 years, and saves money while helping the environment.

Hyper Heating

The Mitsubishi H2i Hyper-Heating INVERTER™ is perfect for cold climate areas like Massachusetts. Residents can now enjoy all the benefits of ductless heating and cooling year round.

High Efficiency

Mitsubishi’s inverter-compressors maintain a room’s customized temperature. Zoning capabilities allow you to  turn off zones that aren’t in use and only cool or heat the rooms you choose.

Quiet

Mitsubishi ductless systems are whisper quiet with system components such as insulated compressor compartments and vibration dampeners designed to work quietly.

Smart Controls

Remote control allows for easy control of your Mitsubishi ductless system. Multi zone systems can be controlled from anywhere at any time using  RedLINKTM technology, which allows you to connect up to 16 devices to your cooling and heating system, without interfering with your other wireless home devices.

The Future is Here

Mitsubishi’s 3D i-See Sensor matches air conditioning to room occupancy. It will detect how many people are in a room and direct air conditioning accordingly. It also senses when a room is no longer occupied and turn the AC off.

Hyper Heating For Your Massachusetts Home

Prior to the introduction of Mitsubishi Hyper Heating Massachusetts residents installed ductless heat pumps for air conditioning and to provide supplemental heat. Common applications were in new additions, bonus rooms, garages, and basements. The Mitsubishi Hyper-Heating INVERTER changes the dynamic in that now these systems can be considered for a main source of heating and air conditioning in the New England climate.
